Snow!

Friday afternoon it started snowing here.  Big huge snowflakes were coming down pretty hard.  The big boss came around after lunch and told people to start heading home.  The roads were already starting to get bad and we all know these southerners don't know how to drive in the snow!  Shawn on the other hand made two trips to the grocery store and got a pizza.  Apparently we are incapable of ever having all the right ingredients in the right quantities for his Christmas cookies.

Saturday this is what we woke up to this

Saturday morning was spent doing this (and our neighbors drive as well).  While shoveling we also got to laugh at our neighbors with rear-wheel drive SUV's trying to get up the hill out of the neighborhood.

Saturday afternoon we got to do this

Saturday evening we tested the roads by going to Goodwill to drop off a big donation before the end of the year.  Sunday we made it to Cary with no issues and celebrated Christmas with mom, dad, David, and Kate.

Now it is T-minus 3 days until our 11 day midwest tour.  We may have to leave Wednesday night to get out before more bad weather hits.  That means I have got to get cracking on my packing!!
