New Furniture

We finally found new dining room furniture!! Crate and Barrel was having a summer sale and just happened to have some furniture that was exactly what we were looking for. The table is a "pivot table". In the picture it is open all of the way. But it can be folded over and rotated to make a smaller table. Under the pivot area is room for storing linens.


The buffet and hutch are counter height and have lots of great storage. A bunch of our china fits up top to be displayed and then the rest fits on on the shelves on the left side. The right side shelves are still mostly empty.


It also has a little drawer that is perfect for holding envelopes and stamps and stuff since we don't have a good place to store that stuff. A basket that Shawn had fits almost exactly into the shelf below the drawer and then there is an X for holding wine bottles. It frees up space in the kitchen cabinets and we have room to grow.


Luckily my husband is very patient and with the help of my dad went and picked up all of the boxes (the store is in Raleigh) and then brought them home over the next two weekends.
